About This Service
Most toilet problems are one worn part, not a new toilet. We replace inlet valves and outlet (flush) valves, flush buttons, toilet seats and leaking pan connectors, and lift the toilet pan when the job needs it. When the porcelain is cracked or a repair isn't worth it, we replace the cistern or the whole toilet. You get a fixed price before we start, there is a $0 call-out fee, and our workmanship is covered for 12 months.

Running or constantly refilling
Water trickling into the bowl, or a cistern that refills on its own every so often, is commonly a worn outlet (flush) valve seal or an inlet valve that won't shut off. Both are parts we replace.
Leaking at the base
Water around the base is often a leaking pan connector, the seal between the cistern and the pan, or the water supply connection. Sometimes it's condensation. We find which, and lift the pan if the connector needs replacing.
A weak flush
Often a cistern not filling to the right level or a worn flush valve. If the bowl drains slowly or keeps blocking, the problem may be in the drain, which our blocked toilet service covers.
Flush button stuck or broken
A button that sticks, doesn't return, or has cracked can usually be replaced without changing the cistern.
Loose or rocking toilet
A pan that moves can break its seal to the drain and start leaking, or crack over time. If the pan is undamaged, it can be re-fixed and resealed.
Cracked pan or cistern
Cracked porcelain can't be reliably repaired and can split without warning. A cracked cistern or pan should be replaced.
Repair or Replace?
Usually a repair
A worn inlet valve, outlet valve, flush button, seat or pan connector. These are single parts, and the rest of the toilet can keep going for years.
Usually a replacement
Cracked porcelain, an old toilet whose parts are no longer made, or a toilet that keeps failing. If only the cistern is the problem, our cistern replacement page explains when the pan can stay.
New toilets
When a new toilet is the better option, we remove the old one and install the new suite, with brands including Caroma and Laufen.

Common Questions
FAQs
My toilet keeps running or refilling on its own. What's wrong?
Usually a worn outlet (flush) valve seal letting water into the bowl, or an inlet valve that won't shut off. Both can be replaced, so it's normally a repair, not a new toilet.
Why is my toilet leaking at the base?
Common causes are a leaking pan connector, the seal between the cistern and the pan, or the supply connection. Sometimes it's just condensation. We find the source, and lift the pan when the pan connector needs replacing.
Is it worth repairing my toilet, or should I replace it?
If it's a worn valve, button, seat or pan connector, a repair usually makes sense. If the porcelain is cracked, or parts for an old model are no longer made, replacement is the better option. We'll tell you which before we start.
Do you replace flush buttons and toilet seats?
Yes. We replace flush buttons, toilet seats, inlet and outlet valves, and leaking pan connectors.
My toilet won't flush properly. Can you fix it?
Yes. A weak flush is often a cistern not filling to the right level or a worn flush valve, both repairs. If the toilet is blocked or keeps blocking, we clear it and check the drain.
How much does a toilet repair cost?
It depends on what's worn. We find the fault first and give you a fixed price before we start, with a $0 call-out fee.
