Gas Compliance Certificates Sydney

Gas work done by our licensed gas fitters comes with a compliance certificate where one is required. Here's what it is, why it matters, and what to do if you don't have one.

No surprise bills: $0 call-out and a fixed price before any work starts.

Our guarantee: 12 months on our workmanship, in writing. What it covers

A gas compliance certificate is the record a licensed gas fitter provides after gas work, where one is required, confirming the work was done by a licensed gas fitter and tested. When our gas fitters install a cooktop, run a new gas line, fit a bayonet or connect an appliance, we test the work for leaks and provide the certificate when the job is done. A gas fitter certifies their own work, so we can't certify gas work someone else did. If you're unsure about existing gas work, we can inspect and test it, and give you a fixed price to put right anything that needs it.

  • Licensed gas fitters, licence 347993C
  • Certificate provided for our gas work, where required
  • Every connection tested for leaks
  • Cooktops, heaters, gas lines and appliances
  • Existing gas work inspected and tested
  • Natural gas and LPG
  • Fixed price quoted before we start
  • 12 months on our workmanship

Fixed price quoted before we start. $0 call-out fee.

It shows the gas work was done by a licensed gas fitter. Keep it with your house records, alongside the appliance manual and warranty.

A buyer, a landlord, a property manager or an insurer may ask who did the gas work and whether it was certified. Having the certificate on file answers the question.

Each certificate covers the specific gas work it was issued for. A new cooktop, a bayonet or a new gas line each come with their own.

A licensed gas fitter certifies their own work, not someone else's. If gas work was done without a licence, we can inspect and test it and tell you what we find. Anything that needs fixing, we quote at a fixed price, then certify the work we do.

Ask the gas fitter or company who did the work for a copy.

If you want to know the condition of a property's gas installation, we can inspect and test it.

Common Questions

The record a licensed gas fitter provides after gas work, where one is required, confirming the work was done by a licensed gas fitter. We provide one for our gas work when the job is done.

Yes. When our licensed gas fitters install and connect a gas cooktop, we test the connection for leaks and provide the compliance certificate where required.

No. A gas fitter certifies their own work. We can inspect and test existing gas work, quote to fix anything that needs it, and certify the work we do.

It covers the work it was issued for, such as a new cooktop connection or a new gas line.

Gas fitting in NSW must be done by a licensed gas fitter. Badly done gas work can leak, and a leak is a fire and health risk. If you ever smell gas, get everyone outside and call from outside (Jemena on 131 909 for natural gas in Sydney, or 000), then call a licensed gas fitter.

The certificate comes with the gas work we do. For the work itself, we give you a fixed price before we start, with a $0 call-out fee.
