Mr. Clog Plumbing

Outdoor & Garden Tap Installation Sydney

A new garden tap where you actually need it, or an old outdoor tap that drips, leaks or won't turn replaced. Licensed Sydney plumbers.

No surprise bills: $0 call-out and a fixed price before any work starts.

Our guarantee: 12 months on our workmanship, in writing. What it covers

Outdoor taps get the hardest life of any tap in the house: sun, weather, hoses yanked on them, and being knocked by mowers. We replace worn and leaking garden taps, and install new outdoor taps where you need them, such as the far end of the garden, beside the driveway for washing the car, near the barbecue area or on the side of the house for a rainwater tank changeover. A new tap means running a water line from your existing pipework to the new spot, mounting the tap securely, and checking everything for leaks. You get a fixed price before we start.

Usually a worn washer or jumper valve, the same as an indoor tap. On an old tap that has been repaired many times, a new tap is often the better fix.

Worn seals around the spindle. Repairable on many taps.

The joint behind the tap, or the pipe in the wall, may be leaking. It's worth fixing soon, because the water ends up in the wall or under the house.

A tap that won't turn, has a cracked body or wobbles on the wall is usually replaced, and re-secured so it doesn't keep working loose.

So you're not dragging a hose the length of the yard.

For washing the car and watering the front garden.

Handy for cleaning up. If you're planning an outdoor gas point too, the two can be done in the same visit.

A tap on a post in the garden itself, rather than on the house wall.

Common Questions

Yes. We run a water line from your existing pipework to where you want the tap, mount it securely on a wall or post, and check it for leaks.

A drip from the spout is often a worn washer and can be repaired. If the tap is old, seized, cracked or loose on the wall, replacing it is usually the better fix. We'll tell you which makes sense.

It's worth fixing soon. The leak may be the joint or the pipe behind the tap, and the water can end up inside the wall or under the house.

Yes. A tap on a post is common for garden beds and vegetable patches away from the house.

Yes. Our licensed plumbers and gas fitters can install both in the same visit.

It depends on how far the water line has to run. We give you a fixed price before we start, with a $0 call-out fee.
