A blocked shower drain usually starts slowly: the water takes longer to go down, then it pools in the base. Most shower blockages are hair and soap scum, and we clear them with a plunger or drain auger. If the blockage is further down the line, we clear it with our high-pressure jet blaster. If your shower keeps blocking, we put a CCTV camera down the drain to see what is causing it. Where the shower waste or puddle flange is damaged or worn, we replace it. Soap, shampoo and conditioner leave a film inside the pipe. Over time it builds up and binds with hair, and the drain gets slower and slower.

If the shower blocks along with the toilet or floor waste, or keeps blocking after it has been cleared, the problem may be further down the line. That's when the jet blaster and CCTV camera come in.

The waste is the outlet and grate in the shower floor. If it is cracked, corroded or the wrong fit, we replace it.
Puddle flange
